To all the mums out there who LOVE their children dearly but…
Are delighted their little darlings are back to school so they can get themselves back on track.
To say goodbye to those post-Summer holiday wobbly bits.
And hellooooo to:
♥ Regaining their confidence, clothes fitting better and just feeling HAPPIER with how they look/feel.
Perhaps you’re not a mum and just want to get fitter, stronger and feel sexy again.
Either way, what you do NOW is by far more important than falling off the wagon.
If you’re fed up of not looking/feeling how you want.
This is your perfect opportunity to DO something about it.
So here’s some do’s & don’ts to help you make that process successful, enjoyable and sustainable.
What Not To Do:
➡ Don’t get sucked into gimmicky fitness products/diets.
Yes we all want results yesterday but unfortunately, it’s just not how it works, especially if you want to lose weight ans KEEP it off.
A calorie deficit is the only rule to fatloss – nothing needs to be extreme.
Sensible, common sense eating and regular exercise wins every time.
Think portion size, food quality, snack frequency and getting those steps in.
If you want faster, more accurate results then use my FREE Calorie Calculator and track your food.
The aim is to focus on your weekly calories and daily protein goal (forget about carbs/fat).
➡ Don’t compare yourself to others.
Comparison is the biggest thief of happiness.
Your chapter 5 is going to look totally different from someone else’s chapter 5 so just aim to focus on watering your own grass and forget about others.
➡ Don’t expect things to be perfect.
So many people give up because they ate something they ‘shouldn’t’ or missed a workout.
EVERY single positive choice you make is a step in the right direction so don’t sack off your whole day or week because you went slightly off plan.
- 1 healthy meal is better than 0 healthy meals.
- Doing 5000 steps is better than 2000 steps.
- Stopping at 2 bags of crisps is better than 3 bags of crisps.
Something is ALWAYS better than nothing!!
What To Do:
✅ Split your goals into ‘bitesize’ goals.
They’ll be more manageable and BOOST your motivation each time you achieve them.
✅ Write those goals down and hold yourself accountable (tell family, friends, social media).
If it’s written down, it’s much more likely to get done and a little bit of accountability goes a LONG way.
✅ Surround yourself with positive, like-minded people.
Happiness is infectious.
✅ Do something every day that takes you out your comfort zone.
If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
✅ Try things you haven’t tried before.
Variety is king.
✅ Write down all the benefits of achieving your goals and make the list visible.
When it get’s tough, look at the list….it’s ALWAYS worth it!
✅ Tell yourself every single day that you CAN.
Removing the word can’t from your vocabulary and injecting more positive words is highly empowering.
✅ Make time for yourself, family and loved ones.
Being healthy and happy isn’t just about having a great body!
✅ Be thankful for every day you get the chance to wake up and live life.
This is a privilege denied to many.
Gratitude also attracts happiness and positivity.
✅ Put these tips into ACTION : )
Your life won’t get better by chance.
If you want change, you have to create it.
